The simple and boring answer is Brazil. However, this Brazil side is not the free flowing creative force we have come to expect from A Selecao. World Cup 2006 cover boy Ronaldinho was not even selected for the 2010 campaign. Instead manager Dunga uses tactics more typical of a German or Italian side and this has caused some observers including Pele to criticize their lack of style. It is a fair comment this Brazil team is a little boring, but over the past thirty years the Brazil teams that had the most flair (1982 and 2006) failed to win the tournament.
Brazil will win with the goal tending of Julio Cesar, the defense of captain Lucio, and a counterattack led by Kaka, Robinho and Luis Fabiano.
This team will win the tournament and I don't think it will be that challenging. They are placed in the so called "group of death" but based on health (Drogba factor) and recent form (Portugal looks one dimensional and old in certain positions) I don't think they will have any problem winning this group. In the knockout rounds they will probably see Chile, the Dutch, and England or maybe Serbia to reach the finals. Compare that with Spain who could possibly see Portugal or Ivory Coast followed by Italy and Germany in succession.
