Grant Wahl on CNNSI.com: he does a good job of summing up the biggest headlines. He also seems to have some contacts with the US Men's national team.

NYT Goal Blog : A really well written blog with a fresh perspective. The public comments section is also worth reading as the commenter's are mostly well informed.

Guardian sports page: It is important to read non US soccer media. A lot of US coverage tends to try and over explain things as it assumes the audience is uninformed. One downside to Guardian coverage is that a Wayne Rooney hangnail will be treated as a major story.

Norman Hubbard on ESPN Soccernet: I don't like a lot of the ESPN soccer coverage (shocking) but Norman Hubbard is a notable exception. His knowledge of the game is only exceeded by his graceful writing style, his writing reminds me of Martin Tyler broadcasts in its elegance and nuance.
